This page explains the process of transferring domain names to and from TradeInternet. This is different from registering domains.
Transferring Domains TO Trade Internet
Transfer your domain name from another host to Trade Internet, the following steps must be followed;
UK domains (e.g. .co.uk .me.uk .plc.uk .org.uk)
Request your current host to change their IPS TAG to "DSVR"
Check that the IPS TAG has been changed.
This can be seen by checking th domain name through our site.
If the tag has been changed in the results, you will find the following text;
Request your current host to change the nameservers to the following;
Name Server.......... NS0.SERVE.CO.UK
Name Server.......... NS0.SERVE.NET.UK
Inform us, and we will apply to your current host to take ownership.
Your current hosts should contact you to authorise the transfer. If the current hosts do not authorise the transfer within 7 days, the transfer will fail.
Transferring Domains AWAY FROM Trade Internet
Transfer your domain name from another host to Trade Internet, the following steps must be followed;
UK domains (e.g. .co.uk .me.uk .plc.uk .org.uk)
Apply to Trade Internet via your support panel informing us of the new IPS TAG. Your new hosts will be able to tell you what this is.
The TAG will usually be changed within 48 hours - check and inform your new hosts.
US domains (e.g. .com .net .org)
Provide us with you new hosts NAMESERVERS.
Inform your new hosts and they will apply to take ownership.
We will authorise that request when we recieve it.
